Sacyr Water took part in the first IWA Young Water Professionals (YWP) Ibero-American Congress, a landmark event that brought together emerging water professionals, researchers and industry experts from across the region to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of water management.
Representing different areas of the business, eleven Sacyr Water professionals attended a diverse programme of technical sessions, workshops and networking activities covering key topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, water reuse, circular economy, climate resilience and innovation in water services.
The congress highlighted the vital role that young professionals can play in accelerating the sector’s transformation. By bringing together participants from 14 countries, the event created an environment for sharing experiences, exchanging ideas and building international networks that will help drive future progress across the water industry.
It also reinforced the importance of generational renewal in a sector facing increasingly complex environmental, technological and operational challenges. Developing the next generation of water leaders will be essential to ensuring a more sustainable, resilient and innovative future.
For Sacyr Water, participation in initiatives such as this reflects our commitment to continuous learning, professional development and talent growth. Providing opportunities for our people to engage with international forums enables them to broaden their perspectives, strengthen their expertise and contribute new ideas that create value for our business and the communities we serve.
Through their participation in the IWA-YWP Ibero-American Congress, our professionals have gained valuable insights, expanded their professional networks and strengthened their knowledge of the trends that will shape the future of the water sector.
