Dear Residents,

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as construction of the new Velindre Cancer Centre progresses.

We would like to let you know that an extension to the project's Section 61 consent has been approved. This allows certain internal construction activities to continue outside of our standard working hours from 13 July 2026 until 31 August 2026. The approved activities are limited to Internal Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installation works (first and second fix) and Associated internal fit-out works.

The approved extended working hours are:

• Monday to Friday: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
• Saturday: 1:00pm – 4:00pm

These extended hours relate to specific internal activities only, helping to support the safe and efficient delivery of the project.
Unlike the current Section 61 consent, facade lifting operations will no longer take place after 6:00pm.

We remain committed to being considerate neighbours and will continue to do everything we can to minimise disruption while delivering this important new facility for South East Wales.
