S&P Global Ratings awards Sacyr investment-grade credit rating

  • Sacyr has received a BBB- long-term corporate credit rating from S&P Global Ratings, with a stable outlook.
  • S&P, one of the world’s leading credit rating agencies, highlights the strength and predictability of the cash flows from Sacyr’s concessions business, as well as the company’s financial strategy.
  • This recognition marks a further milestone in the delivery of the objectives set out in Sacyr’s 2024-2027 Strategic Plan.

S&P Global Ratings has awarded Sacyr a BBB- long-term corporate credit rating, with a stable outlook, placing the company within the investment-grade category.

This is the first time that Sacyr has received a rating from S&P, one of the world’s largest credit rating agencies and a benchmark for investors, financial institutions and debt issuers.

The rating from one of the world’s leading international credit rating agencies represents a strategic milestone for Sacyr and recognizes the transformation of its business model, its financial strength and its continued evolution towards an increasingly international, concessions-led profile.

S&P bases its rating on the strong contribution of the concessions business, the vertical integration of Sacyr’s Concessions and Engineering and Infrastructure capabilities, and the predictability of cash flows from a diversified portfolio of long-term assets. The agency also notes that the portfolio is largely made up of availability-payment projects, which provides stability and limits exposure to demand risk.

The S&P rating follows the BBB (low) rating, with a stable outlook, awarded by Morningstar DBRS in October 2025.

Sacyr therefore consolidates its position within the investment-grade category, with S&P joining the group of agencies that rate the company in this category. This strengthens external recognition of the robustness of its business model and financial strategy, and marks further progress in delivering the objectives set out in the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan.
