This morning, Sacyr has presented, in conjunction with Sevilla City Council, a set of improvements that expand the offer of Las Setas de Sevilla complex as part of its 10-year anniversary celebration.
The anniversary’s motto “10 years in the heart of Sevilla” reflects Sacyr Concesiones’ commitment to the city. The company has invested 14 million euros in fully renovating this extraordinary asset.
Pedro Parrilla, manager of Las Setas de Sevilla, has explained that these new incorporations are “a reinforcement of Sacyr Concesiones’ support to the city through this building. Las Setas have positioned themselves as a touristic example in these past 10 years and have become the third most visited monument in Sevilla”.
‘Aurora’, the light of Sevilla
One of the main new experiences is the lights show ‘Aurora’: an immersive experience of light and sound with a cultural, artistic and technological character, which incorporates elements like the space occupancy and movement of the visitors at each moment, the weather, wind, or the time of the year.
Entre las novedades se encuentra también la Sala Inmersiva Feeling Sevilla, ubicada a 21 metros de altura y con más de 200 metros cuadrados de superficie.
Among the new elements, there is also the immersive room ‘Feeling Sevilla’, at 21-meters of height and more than 200 m2 of surface area.
This room is equipped with a singular technology: a curved 21x3 meter LED screen with the best image resolution.Additionally, it also has 360º sound, floor projection, ceiling LED lighting, air effect, smell maps through diffusers and a stand area from which a very special audiovisual piece can be enjoyed. ‘Feeling Sevilla’ is a piece created for this room that allows visitors to live a complete experience: to see, hear, touch, smell… Feel Sevilla in every single corner.
Tuning up
These experiences come with the cleaning and tuning up work of the walkways and the overlook that was done during the pandemic.
As part of this project, Sacyr has renovated the website, available in three languages, and the mobile app of Las Setas, which includes numerous resources for tourism in the city and multimedia content (audio, video, and photography) and augmented reality resources to explain the principal landmarks.
Furthermore, Sacyr is finalizing construction of the Hotel ABBA Sevilla next to the Las Setas complex, managed by hotel chain ABBA. This hotel will have 94 rooms.
