Sacyr is committed to decarbonisation and adaptation as the fundamental pillars of its Climate Change Strategy, where it includes the objective of reducing absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from scope 1 and 2 by 42% and scope 3 by 25% by 2030, with the aim of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. These targets are validated through the SBTi initiative and are aligned with limiting the global temperature increase to 1.5°C. In addition, Sacyr is firmly committed to continuous improvement in the management of water resources and has set itself the goal of reducing its own water consumption in all its activities by at least 5% by 2027, in both high and low water stress areas.
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is a global non-profit organisation that manages the independent environmental disclosure system for companies, capital markets, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impact.
