Construction of this new building began in August 2021 and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2023.
More than 750 people are currently working on the project with the aim of raising the five six-story hospitalization blocks that the new 12 de Octubre will have.
Once this project has been completed, Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructures will proceed to demolish the current 18-storey hospitalization tower.
The 12 de Octubre project adds on to Sacyr's extensive experience in the field of healthcare infrastructure.
Over the last few decades, it has built or refurbished more than 60 hospitals and health centers in seven countries, with a total of more than 14,000 beds. The Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid and the Antofagasta Hospital (Chile) are just two examples.
