Today, the executive team has unanimously decided to propose appointing Pedro Sigüenza as the company’s new CEO. This decision will be brought to the company's Annual General Meeting, likely to be held next June. Approval of this proposition will allow Pedro Sigüenza’s appointment by the Board of directors to be effective immediately.
The new CEO, currently CEO of Sacyr Concesiones, will be responsible for the company's management and business projection decisions. Chair Manuel Manrique Cecilia will hold on to corporate, financial, and strategic competences.
With this appointment, Sacyr continues to improve its corporate governance practices and further advances the fulfillment of the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan and the company's vision through 2033. Company goals include pursuing profitable growth to become world leaders in transport, social and water infrastructure project development.
Strategic Plan challenges in this period include the creation and launch of Voreantis, the Sacyr Group's new investment vehicle that will pool the company's brownfield assets. This cycle will also further the company's P3 activity in English-speaking countries and promoting the activity in the Water business unit.
