Sacyr awarded maintenance contract of part of Dublin’s rail network (Ireland)

  • The company will upgrade 80 km of catenaries and maintain 130 km of the Dublin Area Rapid Train (DART) electrification network.
  • This eight-year contract (extendable) is worth €76 million.

Sacyr Neopul, Sacyr’s company specializing in the electrification and maintenance of railway tracks, has won the €76.3 million contract to maintain the electrification network of the Dublin Area Rapid Train (DART) in Ireland for a period of eight years, extendable for another two. 

The DART network serves the city of Dublin and the Irish capital's coastline and caters to about 20 million passengers per year

Sacyr is the maintenance operator of this Irish Rail section since 2008, covering a network of 130 kilometers. In addition, this contract includes the renovation of 80 kilometers of catenaries.
