- No. 1 in Spain, for the fourth year in a row, in the Construction and Engineering sector.
- No. 4 in Europe, Construction and Engineering sector.
- No. 6 internationally, Construction and Engineering sector.
- No. 1 by market cap among sector companies in the €2.4bn - €2.7bn range.
This rating issued by Sustainalytics, subsidiary of Morningstar, evaluates the sustainability performance of more than 15,000 companies worldwide. The "low risk" rating awarded demonstrates the company's good practices in mitigating Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance risks.

The Paraguayan Ministry of Public Works and Communications has signed an addendum to the PY02 Route concession with the Rutas del Este Special Purpose Vehicle, led by Sacyr Concesiones (60%) and Ocho A (40%), which will expand the Route to improve connectivity between the capital, Asunción, and the interior cities. With this addendum, the company will invest an additional USD 180 million (EUR 163 million).
The project consists of a structuring highway system, which includes major works, such as the Variantes de Ypacaraí - Areguá and a 3.6-km elevated urban highway with two carriageways and four lanes that will connect Ñu Guasú and Silvio Pettirossi Avenues, in addition to two new connections to the PY02 Route, which are essential for improving access between the capital and the interior:
Both corridors will be fully integrated to establish a more efficient system by which to enter and exit the metropolitan area.
Large-scale urban intervention
“This is the largest urban intervention project in Paraguay’s history. It will have a major impact nationwide and reaffirm the role of Asunción as the political and economic heart of the country”, said the president of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, at the contract signing ceremony.
The new highway system will benefit seven cities: Asunción, Luque, Areguá, Ypacaraí, San Bernardino, Nueva Colombia, and Emboscada.
