Today, Manuel Manrique, Sacyr Chairman, collected the 2025 Tiepolo Award from Amparo López Senovilla, at a ceremony held in the Italian Embassy in Madrid.
This award, bestowed by Spain’s Confederation of Business Organizations and the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Spain, recognizes Manrique’s contributions to the promotion of Italian-Spanish economic and business relations.
The Tiepolo award highlights Manrique’s career at the helm of Sacyr, where he has promoted the construction and modernization of strategic infrastructure in Italy, alongside local partner Fininc.
In his acceptance speech, the Sacyr Chairman emphasized the role of the Dogliani family, owners of Fininc, in the company's success in the country. "The Doglianis have demonstrated an extraordinary ability to work as a team, overcome challenges and always keep their eyes on excellence. Without their commitment and trust, this journey would not have been possible," he said.
"Our alliance is not only about the past and the present, but also about the future. Together we have shown that we can be competitive and be useful to the citizens in Italy. We want to deepen this alliance that will surely bring even better things in the future for both parties," the Chairman added.
Over 500 km of roadways
Since Manuel Manrique took over as chairman of Sacyr in 2011, the company has been awarded, among other projects, the management of more than 500 km of roadways. The company’s project portfolio includes the Pedemontana-Veneta -with a €2.8 Bn investment-, the A3 Naples-Pompei-Salerno, the A-21 in Turin and Via del Mare projects.
Sacyr also develops key infrastructures in the healthcare field, such as the Turin Health Complex, the Milan Hospital and the Novara Health Complex.
Manuel Manrique has transformed Sacyr into one of the main global players in infrastructure and concessions, promoting a strategy of sustainable growth and strengthening cooperation between the two countries. As part of its strategy, Italy has established itself as a priority market, with investments that contribute to the country's economic and social development.
