We expand the Tenerife Sur airport

Raquel Sánchez, Minister for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, attended the inauguration ceremony along with other authorities from the political and business sphere

Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructures has executed this project, awarded by AENA, which was increased the net usable area in 14,000 m2, thus achieving a complete transformation of the airport facilities by uniting the two buildings into a single terminal area.

Last May 25, Raquel Sánchez, Minister for Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, along with other authorities from the political and business worlds, inaugurated the new building of the Tenerife Sur airport, built by Sacyr, which connects terminals 1 and 2.

The construction works, with an investment of €54 million, included the distribution of the external urbanization of the terminal area, to adapt it to its new layout; the construction of a modern, centralized safety checkpoint in a single level, with two spacious, lateral check-in areas in terminals 1 and 2.

The building also includes two new jet bridges and four new boarding gates.
