We update our roadmap to face climate change

We have reduced our emissions by 32% and set new sustainability goals, in line with our 2021-2030 Climate Change strategy.

Today is the international day against climate change and we celebrate by making progress in our 2021-2030 Climate Change strategy, which has new lines of action defined for each scope with associated initiatives and specific monitoring indicators. In addition, we have regular internal monitoring mechanisms in place and every three years we will carry out a risk and opportunity assessment linked to climate change.

In 2021 we already reached our goals set for 2025 (with 2016 as the base year), by reducing our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 32%. In turn, we were recognized by the most rigorous environmental standards and appeared in the most internationally recognized indexes (CDP, S&P, Sustainalitycs, etc.).

We have updated our 2021-2030 Climate Change strategy, by incorporating our climate change goals that were validated with SBTi (Science Based Targets Initiative) in 2021, the benchmark to set goals in line with what climate science considers necessary to meet the Paris Agreement.

The main mission of this global compact is to limit global warming to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels by 2030.

Our current goals are:

  1. Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 42% by 2030.
  2. Reduce Scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030.
  3. Be carbon neutral by 2050.

We have a robust strategy to combat this global emergency, but we can only achieve it if we all work towards the same goals.
