Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructure will build the 8.5-km section that completes the A-23 motorway between the Lanave and Sabiñánigo junctions (Huesca) for €102 million, with an execution period of five years.
The General Directorate of Roads has awarded Sacyr the construction of the Ipiés junction, which will connect the Ipiés Hostel and the N-330 road, and the Sabiñánigo Sur semi-junction, which will facilitate the Huesca-Sabiñánigo connection.
The contract includes the construction of 11 structures, including five viaducts: two over the Gállego River (270 m and 183 m, respectively), another two over the Jabarrella canal (120 m and 147 m), and a fifth over the Fanlo ravine (69 m).
In addition, Sacyr will build four underpass crossings, two overpasses and a passage structure over the Jabarrella Canal.

Improved traffic
This project will alleviate the high traffic that registers at that point of the N-330 with the Pyrenees by transforming the current section of road into a highway. In addition, it will serve to conclude the A-23, known as the Mudejar Highway, which connects the Mediterranean from Sagunto with Jaca and the Aragonese Pyrenees.
