The Sacyr Foundation and the Juan XXIII Roncalli Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement to expand and adapt the kitchens of the Roncalli Special Employment Center located in Vicálvaro (Madrid), from where it carries out its catering service.
The improvement in the kitchens will enable increasing the activity of the catering services of the Foundation and thus create new jobs that favor the labor inclusion of those with intellectual disability. The catering services currently have 45 employees, 67% of whom have some type of disability.
This project is part of the objectives of the Sacyr Foundation for cooperation for the development of disadvantaged groups, the promotion of social action and the care of those at risk of social exclusion. Furthermore, it is aligned with the guidelines that mark Sacyr’s Corporate Social Responsibility Plan that promotes the values and ethical principles of the Group.
The catering of the Special Employment Center of Juan XXIII Roncalli Foundation offers service in three areas: communities, catering services and events. This Foundation is a reference center for the social and labor inclusion of those with intellectual disabilities, seeking to improve their quality of life and that of their families.
