Sacyr’s chairman, Manuel Manrique, and the executive president of Foundation Integra, Ana Botella, initialed this cooperation agreement, the aim of which is to support and drive employment opportunities within the company for the most vulnerable members of society.
The agreement means that Sacyr, a multinational infrastructure and services company with over 37,000 employees in 30 countries, will form part of Compromiso Integra (Commitment Integra), a network of companies committed to the Integra Foundation’s socially responsible employment policy, together with more than fifty other companies.
Through these companies, since 2001 the Foundation has helped over 12,700 people who are in situations of social exclusion, including female victims of gender violence, homeless persons, former drug addicts or disabled persons. The work provided by companies like Sacyr enables these individuals to regain control of their lives and have a future.
Another aspect of this collaboration is that Sacyr will get involved in the training of these new workers through corporate volunteering at the Integra Foundation School. Thus, Sacyr staff will help to reinforce the beneficiaries’ social and employment skills and provide them with the tools they need to improve their employability and increase their chances of finding work.
This project is part of the Sacyr group’s social commitment to the communities in which it carries on its activities and of its cooperation for the development of disadvantaged social groups, the promotion of social action and the care of those at risk of social exclusion. This work is part of Sacyr Group’s Plan Empresa Global 2020 (2020 Global Business Plan), which constitutes its Corporate Social Responsibility Plan.
