The Sacyr Foundation has signed a collaboration agreement with the local Melilla scuba diving association to promote ocean cleanups in the new Horcas Coloradas beach in Melilla.
Sacyr’s commitment to sustainability and a constant improvement strategy in its services is manifest in all the activities it executes, such as the street cleaning and waste collection services in Melilla, through its subsidiary company, Valoriza.
The Sacyr Foundation has collaborated with the local Melilla scuba diving association for the past two years on several ocean cleanup campaigns in the Autonomous City.
Environmental care and biodiversity are included in Sacyr’s strategy, as reflected on its 2021-2025 Sacyr Sustainable Action Plan. Thus, the Sacyr Foundation promotes the cooperation with NGOs and corporate volunteer work activities among its employees. In fact, some Valoriza employees participated in the fifth edition of the Grand International Ocean Cleanup in Melilla.
The Sacyr Foundation is committed to the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and it collaborates with social organizations, and participates in initiatives that generate a positive social outcome for communities and help in their sustainable development. In 2021, more than 300,000 indirectly benefited from the Sacyr Foundation’s initiatives.
