Sacyr Somague is working on the construction of a 40 km stretch of railway that will link Lisbon, Sines and Setúbal to Spain via Badajoz.
The new railway, which will be part of the International South Corridor, will run through the countryside and connect the Évora Line, the Alandroal section of line, and the Linha do Leste line.
The project includes the construction of a railway platform, drainage, and other infrastructures such as viaducts, crossings, stations, technical buildings, and others related with signaling and telecommunications.
In total, 13 bridges will be built with a total length of 6.3 km. The tallest bridge will have a pile height of 38 meters. There will also be 26 underpasses and overpasses built, and 30 roads will be restored.
