Last May 26, we launched our yearly open innovation program, Sacyr iChallenges, aimed at solving four business challenges issued by the company in collaboration with the innovation ecosystem.
Now, we are in the middle of the submissions phase from all the innovation agents that decide to apply for the challenges. Any organization interested can submit their applications at www.sacyrichallenges.com until July 15.
In this fifth edition, we advance in our commitment to sustainability, a key foundation of the 2021-2025 Strategic Plan, through the promotion of innovation pilots with the best talent in the ecosystem.
In the following videos, the sponsors of each challenge give detailed explanations of what we are looking for in this process:
New solutions to promote sustainable urban mobility. We want to improve our services and explore new development options to manage mobility and optimize emissions in urban areas.
Eduardo Campos Pozuelo, General Manager of Sacyr Services, tells us all about it:
New solutions to maximize the use of renewable energy. How to increase our capacity for generating, storing, and harnessing renewable energy in our facilities, while reducing our energy bill.
Eva Jalón (Sacyr Agua) explains it in the next video:
Recovery of new materials. How to promote the recovery of waste from the development of new industries and existing streams of non-efficiently treated materials.
Fabio Manrique (Sacyr Concesiones) goes into further detail here:
Reducing the carbon footprint in construction. New solutions to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions during the execution phase of our construction works.
José Peláez Vilchez (Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructures) explains it in the following video:
