For the past eight years, Juan Carlos Ruiz has served as Technical and Operations Director for the Northwest Highway (Autovía del Noroeste, “AUNOR”), managed by Sacyr Concesiones. He recently accepted Sacyr’s offer to join the Unión Vial Camino del Pacífico project in Colombia, which will connect the municipalities of Buenaventura and Buga through Loboguerrero.
However, his passion for motor vehicles and roadways began much earlier, when he was a boy and his father instilled in him a love for motorcycles. He’s been devoted to the sport ever since.
Juan Carlos started with motocross, competing in the most prestigious races across Spain, like Alcañiz, Cheste, and Montmeló. He maintains a passion for the sport to this day, which he attributes to the atmosphere among the riders and the thrill of racing a motorcycle at more than 125 mph.
