Rutas 21 and 24 are the country's main road corridor and the first road project developed by a public-private partnership (p3) in Uruguay.
As part of a consortium with Saceem, we are responsible for designing, building, operating and financing these road infrastructures.
The road remodeling work was concluded at the end of 2019, nine months ahead of schedule. The concessions company Rutas del Litoral is now responsible for maintaining the two roads and the Nueva Palmira bypass until 2040.
The Ruta 24 project is 45 km long and also entails laying a concrete road surface throughout the length of the entire road (94 km) The Ruta 21 project will lay a composite asphalt road surface for the entire length of the road, 76.5 km.
