We made it into the S&P Sustainability Yearbook for the fourth year in a row
This recognition highlights our strong performance in sustainability. It's our fourth consecutive year being included in this prestigious publication.

07/07/2025
The renowned S&P Sustainability Yearbook acknowledges our commitment to sustainability. We were honored to receive recognition at the S&P Global Sustainable Yearbook 2025 awards ceremony in Madrid on June 26th, marking our fourth year in a row as part of the yearbook.
The Yearbook celebrates companies demonstrating exceptional commitment and performance in sustainability. In 2024, only 780 out of over 7,690 companies assessed through the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) received this distinction.
To qualify for inclusion, companies must achieve a score within the top 15% of their industry and maintain a score within 30% of the industry leader. The score obtained is 74 points, placing Sacyr among the best assessed companies in the Construction & Engineering sector. This year, we improved our score by more than 7% compared to 2024.
Our commitment to sustainability
This recognition reflects our deep commitment to sustainability, which is driven by our Sacyr Sustainable Route 2024-2027 strategy. This strategy focuses on four key areas: planet, people, prosperity, and governance

We received the Best National Project PTEC Award for our Cognitive Hospital project
Awarded by the Construction Technology Platform, this recognition highlights the project's positive impact on construction through the use of BIM tools, material traceability, and the creation of dynamic BIM models.

28/03/2025
The Spanish Construction Technology Platform (PTEC in Spanish) has granted our Cognitive Hospital project the PTEC Award for Best National Project. The award was received yesterday by Antonio Rodríguez, Innovation Business Partner at Sacyr Concesiones.
This project is being developed by a consortium led by Sacyr, with participation from Sener, Cuatro Digital, Aptica, Fracttal, and Open Ingenius. It has a duration of three years, a budget of €6.1 million, and it is co-financed by the European Union through the Directorate General for Research and Technological Innovation of the Department of Science, Universities and Innovation of the Community of Madrid.
The Cognitive Hospital project aims to create a smart platform integrating advanced technologies such as AI, next-generation algorithms, BIM 7D, VR/AR, and more, all of which will be implemented at Hospital del Henares (Madrid).
PTEC selected this project over other finalists due to its impact on construction. Key factors included its dynamic BIM model, continuously updated with accurate information on systems, facilities, and assets; BIM streamlining tools; and a material traceability system using a digital passport, which contributes to CO₂ reduction.
The intelligent platform will enable real-time data collection and analysis from sensors and existing hospital systems, as well as new ones developed within the project. This will optimize the building’s operation and maintenance, enhancing energy efficiency, air and water quality, and reducing the environmental footprint associated with the infrastructure, from construction to operation.

We restore an old quarry in the Palencia AVE railway project
We built the Palencia Norte – Amusco section of the Palencia – Aguilar de Campoo railway line for ADIF and developed the environmental restoration of the old San Antolín Mine
30/04/2024
We are building the 20.85km railway platform for Adif Alta Velocidad on the Palencia Norte-Amusco section of the Palencia-Aguilar de Campoo (Palencia) high-speed line.
In the early stages of the project, the team in charge of the site detected the San Antolín Mine, an old mining operation near the town of Monzón de Campos, less than 500 meters away from the railway platform. 585,000 tons of earthwork spoils could be transferred to this quarry.
From there, our team's work began to coordinate the restoration with Adif AV, the Mines local authority, the Environment area of the Castilla y León government, and the landowner.

Triple positive impact
With this environmental restoration project, we have achieved a triple positive impact:
- We recovered approximately three hectares of agricultural land
- We prevented the emission of more than 1,000 tons of greenhouse gases
- We provide a social benefit to the residents of Fuentes de Valdepero, Villaumbrales and Monzón de Campos and the rest of the municipalities in the area who will not be exposed to the inconveniences of spoils transfers.
