Our colleagues at Sacyr Services have signed an agreement with the Envera Foundation to promote the labour inclusion of people with disabilities. Thanks to this agreement, Cafestore, our catering subsidiary company, will hire students from the Envera Foundation in its central kitchen and will also have students on internships
To celebrate this alliance, the Deliquo Campo restaurant hosted the first edition of Talent Gourmet, a gala dinner prepared and served by five students from this Foundation.
Javier Arias, People operations director at Sacyr Servicios, welcomed the attendees and highlighted Sacyr's commitment to diversity, as "it makes organizations and companies better". "This is a point in common that we have with Fundación Envera and is what has led us to sign this agreement," he stressed
"It is a pride shared by all Sacyr employees to collaborate with Envera, because it is part of our values and our commitment to the inclusion of employment with disabilities," added Eduardo Campos, General manager of Sacyr Services.
The president of the Foundation, José Antonio Quintero, praised the Envera students and highlighted their proven ability in the hotel and catering business. "We have been able to see it in the dishes they have served us tonight," he explained.
Our initiatives
This is the third Sacyr Services initiative developed with people with disabilities:
- Chef21: With Fundación Down Madrid, in this event several collaborators participated in a cooking contest.
- Green21: In collaboration with Fundación Down Madrid, in this case a contest was held with 10 participants members of Fundación Down Madrid, and a commitment was made to hire 5 people with disabilities.
