Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructures, in consortium with Wills Bros, continues to work on the construction of the A6 highway in Northern Ireland, which is already at 85% completion.
We are currently applying the base course and intermediate asphalt layers using Sacyr-owned equipment. Likewise, this Fall, we expect to begin working on the wearing course, crash barriers and signaling.
We have completed the construction of 15 structures out of the 22. The remaining seven are still underway.
Strategic connection
The new roadway, which is 25 kilometers long, will comprise a strategic route that connects Dungiven and Drumahoe and is traveled by more than 15,000 vehicles each day.
The new A6 will be a dual two-lane carriageway that will notably reduce travel times and increase road safety.
