The Thermochemical Processes Unit (UPTQ in Spanish) at IMDEA Energía works to develop thermochemical routes that valorize organic solid waste. More specifically, they use the process known as pyrolysis, which is commonly used to make charcoal. 

Tecnocir was born out of the necessity to reduce CO2 emissions, the high use of raw materials to obtain aggregates and the generation of large volumes of waste from demolitions in construction.

Like every year, June’s iFriday focused on internal innovation at Sacyr. Some of the supervisors of the most innovative and sustainable projects at Sacyr shared how they were developed and what their progress is like.
